Plastic Bag Free Victoria

We need the Victorian Government to take action by passing legislation to ban plastic bags in Victoria. To do this we need your help

  • Plastic bags are the fifth most littered item in Victoria.

  • Plastics break down into smaller plastic pieces and never leave the ecosystem.

  • By taking reusable bags to the supermarket, refusing plastic bags or using a box,  Victorians can save over a billion plastic bags each year.

Say YES to Plastic Bag Free Victoria!

The Project has teamed up with Clean Up Australia to call on NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian, Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews, and WA Premier Mark McGowan to #BanTheBag. Add your name and keep the pressure on our politicians:

Your support and commitment has bought us closer to the Victorian Parliament taking action on Plastic Pollution. The 11,600 signatures that you helped us collect were submitted to the Victorian Parliament in August 2016 and has prompted the Environment and Planning Committee to hold an Inquiry into Plastic Pollution - an Inquiry that can help get the plastic bag ban we have been fighting for. Stay tuned for further information and updates.

Together we can call on the Government to Stop Bagging Victoria
